- What would you expect from Stroustrup, honestly? Not one of his papers on the
- language appeared to be halfway readable to me. The man has got a mind full of
- razor blades. Well, well, I think that C++ is very decent programming language,
- but most of the introductory documentation is nothing short than horrible. I
- finally got the drift when I hit upon a book that explained the language feature
- by feature, just like the 1st edition of "The C programming language" did. Many
- authors make the mistake to get overly enthusiastic when describing the language
- features: read three pages and you'll be up to your neck in exception handling
- and class templates without having a clear concept what the heck these may be
- useful for in the first place.

- (This is of course only my personal opinion)
